Superbad is a coming-of-age movie starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. This is the story of Seth and Evan, two teenagers who are about to graduate from high school. They want to party and lose their virginity before they graduate, but they are having a hard time to accomplishing this.
The two boys are invited to a party in which they come up with a plan to buy alcohol using their friend Fogell’s fake ID, which has the name “McLovin” on it. Crazy stuff happens afterwards—Seth gets hit by a car twice, Fogell encounters police officers Slater and Michaels, who bonded with him by drinking and shooting their firearms while on duty, and a brawl ensues as a result of Seth dancing with someone’s fiancée.
Dressing up as Seth, Evan, and others from the film should be totally easy. The characters are simply wearing casual clothes. But if you don’t want the fuss of putting together the ensemble, the costume guides are here to help.

Seth wanted to party and have sex before graduating from high school. It’s hard to accomplish since he and his friends are unpopular in school. When they were invited to a party, Seth saw this as an opportunity to get what he wants. In his determination to supply alcohol to the party to impress his crush Jules, Seth, Evan, and “McLovin” got into crazy mishaps, including getting hit by a car—twice. Eventually, Seth realizes that he didn’t need to supply alcohol for Jules to like him and that his friendships are more important than getting girls.
Dressing up as Seth is made even easier with this costume guide. It has everything you need—the shirts, the plaid pants, the Vans sneakers, and even the curly wig. With the clothes, you’ll just need to find a buddy who is game to dress up as McLovin!

Fogell, also known as “McLovin,” is known for his horrible fashion choices and his small oval glasses. He and his friends, Seth and Evan, wanted to have the best night of their lives before graduating from high school and going their separate ways. So, he secures a fake ID with the name “McLovin” which he plans to use to buy alcohol for the party. He finds himself in the company of cops, who ended up smoking, drinking, and misbehaving around town.
Want to dress up as a classic high school nerd who is dying to make himself popular? This McLovin costume guide is the perfect getup for you. You get the button down shirt, chino pants, vest, reading glasses, and last but not the least, the fake driver’s license!

Seth’s clothes for the movie are something that you can easily find in your closet…or maybe your dad’s. In the movie, Seth wears a blue long sleeved shirt with a Western-like pattern, but you can use a pajama top as a substitute. The rest of the ensemble should be easy to find—a pair of plaid pants, light blue shirt to wear underneath the long-sleeved one, and a pair of blue Vans sneakers. If you don’t have Seth’s hair, you can just wear a curly wig. A container of laundry detergent completes the whole look.
McLovin dresses up as your stereotypical high school nerd—button-down shirt, vest, chino pants, and reading glasses. Now with this costume guide, it saves you the time and effort to put together these outfits. Oh, and you also get the infamous “McLovin” driver’s license too.
The script for the movie Superbad was based loosely on writers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s experience in the 12th grade during the 1990s. Giving the two main characters their own names was intentional. Rogen was supposed to play Seth, but because of age and physical size, the role eventually went to Jonah Hill. Rogen played Michaels, one of the irresponsible police officers.
Superbad was praised for the chemistry between its two lead actors as well as the quality of the dialogue. It was hailed for “deftly balancing vulgarity and sincerity while placing its protagonists in excessive situations.” Jonah Hill and Michael Cera were compared to other classic duos such as Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi and Abbott and Costello. Critics consider Superbad as not perfect, but “it’s super close.” The film was also included on Empire magazine’s 500 Greatest Films of All Time.
