Wonder Woman Costume

Posted by Aimee HardyPosted ago

My costume was inspired by the Gal Gadot version of Wonder Woman. I adore her and really wanted to do it justice. I spent days and days of my life creating this, and seeing it all together at the end made me feel very proud.

The skirt was sewn from blue vinyl, which I then added black paint to give it a worn look and gold paint pen for details.

The chest plate, arm bracers, leg greaves, tiara, and armband are all created from EVA foam. I used a heat gun to shape the parts, and super glue to hold them together. I used a heating tool for the details and acrylic paint to color the pieces.

The harness was made from leather scraps found at a craft store, as well as the leather hand wraps. I added leather pieces and gold buttons to the leg guards and arm bracers for more unique detail. I even bought a specific pair of shoes to attach the leather pieces that clip onto the foot covering part of the leg guard.

The only part I did not make myself was the sword.
