Up Family Costume

No detail left undone! I made all the costumes you see here from a cardboard box turned into a house complete with a door, shingles, and a weather vein, a daughter transformed into a dog using paper mache technique for the head, felt, and faux fur, a son turned Wilderness Explorer with handmade badges, patches, and a flag. The husband turned tall bird using chicken wire for the neck, felt, tons of boas for color and feathering, and an old pinata which I transformed to mold the head. My costume was made from a cardboard box, chicken wire for shaping, masking tape to form wrinkles, paper mache, paint, paint stir sticks and electrical tape for the glasses, wiffle balls for the eyes, and lots of feather boas for the hair and eyebrows.
