Thanos and Gamora are both Marvel Comic and Marvel movie characters, most recently from Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Thanos is referred to as the “Mad Titan” in Marvel and stars as the “villain” of Avengers: Infinity War. His objective is to obtain all 6 of the Infinity Stones and use them to balance the universe (by exterminating half of life in it). Gamora became the adopted daughter of Thanos after he killed half of her race when she was a child. As an adult, she betrays him by stealing the Orb (later to be revealed as the “Power Stone”) and joins the Guardians of the Galaxy. In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos sacrifices Gamora by throwing her off the edge of Vormir in order to obtain the Infinity “Soul Stone” for his gauntlet.
