Our little trio dressed up in all things ice cream. I had the inspiration after visiting The Turkey Hill Experience over the summer and just knew we needed to go the ice cream man/waffle cone route!
Daddy was an old time ice cream scooper. I made his usherette board using an Amazon prime box, some paint, a cool carnivalesque ribbon, and some plastic and foam ice cream cones. His actual outfit was easy to create- white shirt, white pants, a red apron, a bow tie, and an ice cream man hat.
Mommy was the actual waffle cone. I purchased a cheap tan skirt and used a brown fabric marker to create a lattice pattern mimicking a waffle cone. I cute several felt strips and hot glued them as the sprinkles. I painted a foam ball with red acrylic paint and stuck a red pipe cleaner in it to resemble a cherry. I took 7 coffee filters and fluted them to create the whipped cream and hot glued all of it to a red headband.
Bodie the Ice Cream man- his outfit was easy and was identical to Daddy’s. I ordered a cardboard ice cream truck and hand painted all of the details and affixed it to his wagon using several strips of velcro. We loved this Halloween family outfit, and Bodie especially loved his custom ice cream truck.
