About Yondu
Yondu Udonta grew up as a Centaurian in the Ravagers world. You’ve seen him in the Marvel Studio’s Guardians of the Galaxy films as Peter Quill’s father, but he isn’t his biological father. Yondu protected Peter Quill by keeping the Ravagers from making him their next meal. From that day forward, Yondu looked after Quill as his own child, but it still didn’t make their relationship a smooth ride.
When Quill turned his back on Yondu, the Ravagers all believe they betrayed him. But Yondu continued to follow his son and realized that Quill as Star-Lord was trying to save their universe. Even after joining up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord was followed close behind by Yondu to make sure he was safe. Even if Yondu was known for being a thief and liar, he protected Quill.
