To the outside world, Will Byers on the Netflix show Stranger Things is an average 12-year-old boy. He’s a student at Hawkins Middle School where he and his best friends Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, and Mike Wheeler, are members of the AV Club. He is the quiet one of the group and spends his spare time with his friends riding bikes or playing Dungeons and Dragons. He lives with his older brother, Jonathan Byers, whom he looks up to, and his divorced mother Joyce Byers, portrayed by Winona Ryder.
In addition to his fragile nature, he is keenly intelligent. When he falls victim to an abduction he uses his knack for finding good hiding places to flee his abductor. Even in great fear, Will keeps his mind sharp and finds a way to communicate with his mother across dimensions. Will Byers, portrayed by Noah Schnapp, in resourceful evading his abductor until escaping from the Upside Down.
