In 2008, a live-action film was released about Speed Racer and his adventures in automobile racing. Speed’s character is always prepared for any race that pops up with his go-to racer outfit. Recreating Speed’s costume for cosplay is just as easy and quick as Speed during a big race!
To recreate Speed Racer’s costume in a jiffy, start with an Open Face Helmet and Decal Art Wall Sticker to make it look just like Speed’s helmet. Speed Racer is the ultimate car racing champion! Speed Racer began as a Japanese anime and manga series that was eventually transformed into an American television series in 1993 and a film in 2008. Speed Racer is an 18-year-old who has focused his life on automobile racing, family, and his girlfriend Trixie. Speed races in his Mach 5 and Mach 6 cars, and reminisces over his older brother’s memory who died. What Speed doesn’t realize is that his brother is actually in disguise as Racer X and races right alongside Speed.
Speed races to win, but sometimes he will let deserving racers win because they have good morals and deserve a win. Speed is also faced with a power-hungry corporation owner, Royalton, who wants Speed to join him in racing. Speed knows Royalton’s moral compass is off and declines his offer which results in difficulties in Speed’s personal and professional life.
