Son Gohan Costume Tips & FAQs

Immerse yourself in the world of “Dragon Ball Z” with our meticulously crafted costume guide FAQ for Son Gohan, the courageous and powerful son of Goku. From his childhood to his teenage years, Gohan’s attire has varied, but his iconic looks have always resonated with fans. This guide will focus on his most memorable outfits, helping you to accurately recreate the appearance of this beloved Saiyan warrior.

During the Cell Games saga, Gohan's most iconic outfit includes a purple gi, similar to Piccolo's, with a white sash, black wristbands, and red boots. The gi is sleeveless with a V-neck and is often accompanied by a blue undershirt. This look is emblematic of Gohan's growth as a fighter and his close bond with Piccolo.

Gohan's hair is a defining feature, characterized by its spiky appearance and black color. During the Cell Games, his hairstyle is notably spiky and stands upright, resembling Goku's but slightly less pronounced. A high-quality wig styled in this manner, or styling your own hair with strong-hold gel, can achieve this look.

As the Great Saiyaman, Gohan wears a green and black bodysuit, red cape, white gloves and boots, and a black-and-white helmet with a green scouter. This superhero-inspired costume is quite different from his traditional fighting gi, reflecting his dual life as a high school student and a hero.

For the Cell Games saga look, consider adding a purple belt or sash, and black wristbands. If opting for the Great Saiyaman outfit, a helmet with a visor is crucial. Additionally, carrying a small plush of Dragon Ball's mascot, Dragon, can add a playful touch to the costume.

ncorporating Gohan's quotes can add authenticity to your portrayal. Some memorable ones include: "I may not be as strong as you, but I can still fight!," "I'm not a little kid anymore, Dad. I've grown up. I've got things to do.," "You can't win, Cell. Even if you beat me, someone stronger would surface.," "I promise you this isn't over." and "My name is Gohan, and I'm a Saiyan from Earth." These lines capture Gohan's brave and determined spirit, his growth, and his unwavering commitment to fighting evil.

About Son Gohan

Gohan is the son of the famous Saiyan fighter Goku from the anime Dragon Ball Z. As a child, he was shy and didn’t like to fight, but when he tapped into his Saiyan side, he became the most powerful Z fighter. Since he is only half-Saiyan, he doesn’t possess the same goals and values as the pure Saiyans, which causes a gap between them.

Son Gohan says he doesn’t really like fighting, but he definitely enjoys marital arts and having superhuman powers. Like most Saiyan fighters, when he gets a surge of power, he becomes arrogant and incredibly cocky. When he’s not a Super Saiyan, he’s focusing on his studies. He is a lot more focused on becoming a scholar than he is on being a famous fighter. Overall, Gohan has a strong sense of family and honor and will make sure that the safety of his loved ones always comes first.
