Together with her sister Paige, Rose grew up on the planet of Hays Minor where her family and people lost everything to the First Order. She grew up to join The Resistance where she hoped she could help avenge her home world.
After losing her sister in the Battle of D’Qar, Rose finds herself teamed up with main character Finn and BB-8 while they break all the rules and orders in their attempt to defeat The First Order. Rose Tico is a fictional character first introduced to the Star Wars mythology in 2017’s hit film, The Last Jedi in which she was played by actor Kelly Marie Tran. The character of Rose was born on her homeworld of Hays Minor where she lived with her sister Paige. Sadly, her world’s resources were destroyed by The First Order, leading her and her sister to join The Resistance with dreams of seeking revenge.
During a battle early in the film, Rose’s sister Paige is killed, which further strengthens her hatred of The First Order. While working on the Resistance ship Raddus, she is overcome with joy when she meets Finn, who she believes to be a hero. She initially doesn’t notice he is trying to escape the ship, and when she realizes he is deserting, she uses an electro-shock prod on him. Before long though, they join forces on their journey to fight The First Order and obtain victory for The Resistance.
