Richie “Trashmouth” Tozier belongs to The Loser’s Club in Derry, Maine that fights against Pennywise in 1958 and in 1985 in the Stephen King inspired movie, It. He’s best friends with many in the club and looks up to Bill just like the others do. He’s a kid that’s neglected by his parents at home and gets picked on quite often by kids at school. His appearance is marked by his thick, black-rimmed glasses and buck teeth. While he may talk a lot and have a foul mouth, he looks out for his friends when trouble comes their way.
Cosplay Richie Tozier look with a pair of Nerd Glasses, Palm Tree Hawaiian Shirt, white Men’s T-Shirt, Casual Jogger Pants, Vans Classic Slip-on shoes, and a BMX Bike.
Before you take on the menace Pennywise who is better known as It, you’ll need all the right pieces in order to complete Richie’s costume and get into character. You can either curl your own hair or find a brown wig that is similar to his hair. Also, grab a pair of black nerd glasses that you can find at any costume shop. A similar outfit to Richie’s can be easily found at a thrift store or perhaps your own closet. When you put all these pieces together, you’ll be looking like Richie in no time at all.
If you want to make this a group costume as well, you can find a few friends willing to dress as Bill and the other members of The Loser Club from the 2017 horror movie, It. We would love to see the costume you come up with by following this cosplay guide. Send in a photo of your Richie “Trashmouth” Tozier to be featured in the cosplay gallery on Costume Wall.
Richie’s mother is an alcoholic in the 2017 sci-fi horror film, It. As a result, Richie is often neglected by his parents. The 2017 film’s version is somewhat similar to the Stephen King novels in that Richie feels neglected by his family which is the reason why he acts out the way he does. His obnoxious personality is just a coping mechanism to get a bit more attention from those around him.
The first encounter Richie had with It occurred while running away from Henry and the other bullies. Richie was resting when the Paul Bunyan statue came to life and chased him. But unlike the other members of The Loser Club, Richie did not believe it was real and assumed he was just dreaming. After telling The Loser Club and entering Georgie’s room, he has his first realization about death and how it can happen to anyone at any moment.
