If you’re not a fan of the show, you may be wondering how a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy such as Fry could possibly have enough money to cryogenically freeze himself to live in the future. Well, he didn’t. He actually fell into a cryogenic tank while he was delivering pizza to a company called Applied Cryogenics. This happened towards the end of 1999. So, a thousand years later, he wakes up at the turn of the century, but not the one he was expecting.
