Best Noob Saibot Costume Guide

Noob Saibot is a character from the Mortal Kombat video game series. He started as an unplayable hidden character in Mortal Kombat 2 wherein he is presented as a black silhouette of the other ninjas. He was actually an opponent that players needed to fight in a secret battle during the “Goro’s Lair” stage. This came after winning fifty consecutive matches from the first game. He was portrayed as a solid black palette swap of Sub Zero and fought with increased speed and Scorpion’s gear. In Mortal Kombat 3, he returned as a secret character, this time as a silhouette of Kano seeing as there were no human ninjas in this game. Get the look of the secret ninja with this Noob Saibot costume guide.

Noob Saibot Cosplay Costumes

Noob Saibot’s name is a combination of the last names of Mortal Kombat creators’ Boon and Tobias spelled backward. During his first appearances, the design of his character was focused on an all-black exterior. However, the game designers had difficulty rendering him in some versions without the character looking like he’s into bondage more than just looking like a killer ninja. Some designs had him looking like he was wearing a tuxedo while others depicted him with a hood. Some redesigns also show him unmasked and having red and blue colors. However, the Noob Saibot most Mortal Kombat fans will know and recognize is still the Noob Saibot in all black ninja gear. That’s why dressing up as him needs you decking yourself in all-black everything: ninja costume, arm armor, leather vest, face mask, knee pads, gloves, and even shoes.

Don’t fight alone! Let your friends cosplay as other characters like Sub Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, and Sonya Blade.

About Noob Saibot

According to game strategy guide publishing company Prima Games, Noob Saibot is actually one of the most overpowered characters on Mortal Kombat. They say that he “had an unblockable projectile attack, fought side-by-side with Smoke and even had ridiculous zoning in MK9.” Noob Saibot’s debut as a playable character happens in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, where he is seen forming allegiances with evil Outworld emperor Shao Kahn, but secretly observing the emperor at the command of the Brothers of the Shadow.

He appears once in the TV adaptation Mortal Kombat: Konquest as an imprisoned Outworld warrior who was mistakenly released by Siro and Taja. He was then later on recruited to assassinate Kung Lao. He also makes an appearance in the 1997 film Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Here, he is a warrior who emerged from Ermac during a fight with Sonya. He is actually uncredited in the film but is mentioned by name in the script and movie novelization.
