Best Nightwing Halloween Costume Guide
DC Comics hero Nightwing is none other than Dick Grayson, all grown up! For those who don’t know, Dick Grayson was Robin, former sidekick to Batman. Start with a Men’s Costume for Nightwing paired with a Nightwing Eye Mask. Add a Duty Elite Belt and some Revgear Padded Sticks for accessories. Complete his style with a sturdy pair of Men’s Heavy Duty Work Boots and voila! You’re Nightwing!
Nightwing Cosplay Costumes
Pieces for this cosplay are pretty character specific which means you’ll most likely need to order them online or pick them up at your local costume shop. However, if you’re feeling ambitious, buying a form fitting full bodysuit and either sewing or gluing on blue accent pieces is a more cost effective option. The masks and padded sticks can also be made at home by more creative types.
As with most superheroes, group cosplay is a cinch because there are so many to choose from! Nightwing will be in good company with any hero from the Justice League or if you want to cause a bit of confusion, try pairing him up with Robin! In either case, you have your choice of any DC Comic hero to choose from, like Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman or Green Lantern. About Nightwing
Born Dick Grayson and taken in by billionaire Bruce Wayne after the murder of his acrobat family, Nightwing began his life being Robin to Bruce’s Batman. Growing up in Batman’s shadow became wearisome for Dick, he had outgrown being a sidekick. He was ready to strike out on his own. While he had become disillusioned with the Justice League and his place among their ranks, Nightwing still held true to his beliefs and his desire to fight evil and continued to do so under this new name.
Nightwing is an advanced combat strategist and martial artist, very much like Bruce Wayne. Unlike Bruce however, Nightwing is aware of what he doesn’t want to become by continuing as Batman’s sidekick. While he respects Bruce Wayne for all he did to help him as a young man, he notices Bruce slowly becoming dark and controlling. He sees how lonely Bruce has become and he fears the same will happen to him. While they share methods and a core belief system, Nightwing questions whether or not he can be as effective as his mentor.
