A young boy who was destined to serve his main house rather than be a great ninja himself, Neji spent many years believing his fate was already set. Naruto Uzumaki showed him that his destiny wasn’t fixed, and the reason he wasn’t reaching his potential was because he was holding himself back. This brought about a change in Neji, and he became determined to be more than he previously thought he could be.
Neji was always a gifted child, and when he joined Team Guy after graduation from the Academy, he clashed with teammate Rock Lee because they had different ideology regarding Rock’s ability to be great without a natural ability as a ninja. Despite being told for years that he would be in service to the main house, Neji found the strength and courage to realize his dreams.
