As the undisputed leader of the Saviors, the character Negan from both the comic book and television series Walking Dead, resides in an abandoned factory in The Sanctuary with nearly 6 dozen other survivors. Negan is a brutal and violent man, seemingly uncontrolled in his killing. However, underneath the brutality is a keen intelligence. His followers fear but also respect him. Women find themselves drawn to his protection as he defends them from brutalization. His weapon of choice, the barbed bat, is even named after his late wife Lucille. He fights and kills to survive and to protect his group.
When it comes to his enemies, Negan is ruthless and enjoys the thrill of opposition.He will take what he feels is his due and then take more because he can. Even in his madness, there is reasoning in him, even compassion, though mostly to suit his own needs. He’s provocative with a wicked sense of humor. In all, Negan has the makings of a modern king and he’s determined to rule unopposed.
