Murdoc Niccals didn’t have a very good childhood. He was born at the Belphegor Sanatorium, which was described as “a house for the sick, needy and incredibly bored.” And after he was born, he was dumped at a doorstep where his now father found him after returning home from the pub. His father exploited him was often verbally abused. Murdoc began using illegal drugs and became a mean, rude and careless person. In school, he was known for his pranks, offensive humor, and poor hygiene.
Growing up, he made a deal with the devil after becoming a Satanist. He agreed to give up his soul in exchange for becoming a super famous rock star. He succeeded in making the deal and was given the devil’s personal bass called “El Diablo.” He’s considered to be the founder of the band Gorillaz. Although a virtual band, over 7 million copies of their debut album were sold which earn them an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records!
