Every show has to have a little evil in it, and Susan “Mandark” Astronomanov is the main antagonist in the Cartoon Network show Dexter’s Laboratory. Though a boy genius on the show, Mandark is inched out of being the smartest and best with Dexter’s experiments. Once it is made evident that Dexter has superior skills inside the science lab, Mandark lets it go to his head and he continues to fail over and over with his experiments.
Mandark has been lonesome and friendless in life which is likely a major accelerator of his evil personality. Once he realized that he could no longer keep up with Dexter’s talents, he sets out to destroy Dexter and his laboratory. Another situation that made Mandark feel even smaller is Dexter’s sister, Dee Dee, never showing any interest in him. Unfortunately, the older Mandark gets, the darker his evil grows.
