Best Kate Denson Costume Guide
Kate Denson is one of 20 surviving characters in the multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight. She was introduced as the survivor of CHAPTER VIII: Curtain Call, a chapter that released on June 12, 2018. Described by online fans as a “hopeful songbird who’s able to make the most of her surroundings,” Kate knew her purpose in life was to inspire joy through song. One of Kate’s earliest memories was performing a song to her family that she had learned in school. Kate remembered the pleasure they experienced in watching her perform. She realized early on how something as simple as a song could give people happiness.

About Kate Denson
Kate Denson was intended to be introduced in the Leatherface chapter as an original development Survivor. However, due to time constraints on A Nightmare on Elm Street, releasing just a month after, the developers first prioritized that. Leatherface was then downgraded to a Paragraph and Kate’s character was instead cut out of Leatherface to be reused for another future chapter.
Kate’s original voice actress was Marie-Michelle Do, a public relations employee at the game developing company Behaviour Interactive. However, the Marie-Michelle Do voice was replaced during the live build-up because people began complaining about her scream. The public and official reason released for the change of voices was that Marie-Michelle was a work in progress voice. Insiders and critics find this unlikely to be the real reason for the difference seeing as the voice actress had an extensive voice-acting career.
