About Jane Lane
Jane Lane, voiced by Wendy Hoopes, is the best friend of the main character Daria from the show by the same name. The show follows Daria Morgendendorffer, who is a smart, quiet, and an unsocial person. She spends a lot of her time watching the world around her and observing people’s lives unfold with her best friend, Jane. They both attend Lawndale High, where they mock real-life problems and stereotypes.
Jane is a cynical teenager with a creative personality. She is more extroverted compared to Daria, which helps their friendship balance out between their two personalities. She loves to create art in all forms and is an aspiring artist. Jane expresses her disdain for materialism and conventionalism through art or sarcastic dialogue. Though she may not openly tell people this, she truly loves Daria’s friendship and will do anything she can to help her through life.
