Best Jafar Costume Guide
Jafar is the wicked Royal Vizier to Sultan Hamid of Agrabah in the 1992 Disney animated classic, Aladdin. As a high ranking political advisor, he is one of the most deadly villains in the Disney universe. Jafar is a masterful manipulator that gains the trust of everybody around him while making plans to rule Agrabah as the most powerful sorcerer in the world.
Dressing up like Jafar is as royal as it gets. First, dress up in an Aladdin Jafar Villain Costume along with his signature red cloak, the Deluxe Vampire Cape. Put on his iconic red turban, the Jafar Hat. Your feet should be covered in Elf Shoes, pointed shoes of the olden days. Finally, his trusty King Cobra Magic Stick is an absolute must to curse your enemies. An Iago Plush Doll should be on your shoulder and of course, the Genie Lamp to make all your evil schemes a reality!
Jafar Cosplay Costumes
To convincingly cosplay Jafar, you’ll need two things. An evil plan and a twirly beard. The costume itself is fairly easy to put on, with just a single luxurious robe and a long swishing cloak. But if you want to get a bit more creative, try getting hold of a real precious stone to put on your red Jafar Hat. And putting a few rings on your fingers will compliment the costume nicely.
You’ll need a few prisoners by your side to complete the scene. Why not get some friends to dress up as the Genie, Princess Jasmine, The Sultan or even Aladdin the “diamond in the rough.” Even though highly unlikely, you can cosplay as companions. An even better idea would be to recreate fight scenes pitting yourself against Aladdin and Jasmine, with the Genie on your side! About Jafar
Jafar was brought up among the poor of Agrabah, much like Aladdin. But as we can see, both took to their sufferings with a different attitude. Jafar grew up to be an evil, sadistic villain, with a mission to become ruler over Agrabah and overthrow the kind, innocent Sultan under whom he works as a Royal Vizier.
Jafar has an annoying pet parrot called Iago who does Jafar’s evil biddings while teasing and insulting prisoners. Overall, he acts as a disposable servant to Jafar. He is also attracted to the Sultan’s beautiful daughter, Jasmine. He feels no love for Jasmine herself, but only her physical beauty.
While an expert in arcane practices, Jafar gains magical powers later in life. He succeeds in becoming the most powerful sorcerer in the world with the help of Genie’s three wishes but is still eventually defeated by Aladdin. But even before becoming all-powerful, Jafar was extremely cunning, intelligent and masterful at disguising himself to achieve his goals. He is the ultimate villain and a great character to cosplay for someone looking to express their evil side!
