Izuku Midoriya is the main protagonist of the manga series, My Hero Academia. Also known as Deku, Izuku was born without a Quirk, a term often used for unique powers. In the story, almost all children are born with Quirks. Those who are “Quirkless” are considered to be in the minority. Izuku was bullied as a kid because he had no powers, but this did not stop him from pursuing his dream. He still strived to become a great hero like his idol All Might. His suit also has a red belt, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, and a pair of red boots. He also wears a dark green mask with protruding ears and a respirator.

About Izuku Midoriya
Bullied as a young boy, Izuku Midoriya grew up to become a timid and insecure kid. After being accepted into U.A. High School, Izuku’s personality gradually transformed. The change in Izuku’s attitude is especially apparent after he made new friends and faced Katsuki during the Battle Trial Arc. Izuki became increasingly brave and confident in developing the leadership skills he needed to become the hero he aspires to be.
He also has a very kind heart—Izuku does not hesitate to rescue someone in danger and those with personal or emotional problems. He does believe a hero must meddle into other people’s lives. This has caused some people to become annoyed with him, despite his good intentions. When All Might passed on his Quirk to Izuku, he developed the power of speed and the ability to knock down an opponent in a single punch.
