Best Helga G. Pataki Costume Guide
Helga G. Pataki is the mean and bossy girl on the hit Nickelodeon TV show, Hey Arnold! She constantly bullies her classmates and makes it clear that she’s the toughest around, but truth-be-told, Helga is a lot softer than she initially appears to be, especially toward her classmate Arnold. She has hidden feelings just like everyone else. She also wears pink and pigtails, but she’s definitely a tomboy at heart!
Other than flexing your muscles or shaking your fists, there’s really not much to recreating Helga’s costume for Halloween or cosplay! You simply need a Blonde Wig to tie back into pigtails with a Grosgrain Hair Clip right down the middle. Add some fake Eyebrows to mimic Helga’s intense brows! Finally, dress up in a Short Sleeve Turtleneck with a Short Pink Dress. Finish off the look with a pair of Vans Classic Slip-on shoes.
Helga G. Pataki Cosplay Costumes
Helga isn’t a super fashionable because. She would much rather be roughhousing outside with the guys, and that makes creating her costume super easy! Head over to a costume shop to grab a basic blonde wig, big pink hair bows, and a big cosplay uni-brow! Grab an everyday white t-shirt out of your closet to wear underneath a pink dress that you may already have on hand. One small touch, you’ll need to add a piece of red fabric to the bottom of the dress to match Helga’s look. Finally, slip on a pair of your favorite Van shoes!
Of course, we couldn’t imagine Helga without the rest of the Hey, Arnold! crew. Grab a few of your besties this Halloween to dress as Arnold Shortman, Phoebe Heyerdahl, Gerald Johanssen, or any of the other characters from the show! Show off your best impression of Helga for Halloween as a throwback to the animated cartoon that aired from 1996 to 2004.
About Helga G. Pataki
Helga G. Pataki is the one girl that sweet girl trying to please everyone. She makes it very clear that she isn’t a little sissy! Even though she wears a pink dress and pigtails, she would much rather embrace her tomboy side to show off how tough she really is. Helga is often found bossing around her fellow fourth-grade classmates, including her best friend, Phoebe Heyerdahl.
Underneath her tough as steel exterior, Helga actually in love with Arnold Shortman! She would never admit it, but there’s no hiding her true feelings for him. Arnold would most likely be open to being Helga’s boyfriend, but he’s completely unaware of her feelings toward him. She is constantly putting on a facade! Maybe one day Helga will learn to relax a little more, and express to Arnold how she really feels!
