Best Georgie Denbrough Costume Guide

Sweet little George Elmer “Georgie” Denbrough didn’t stand a chance against Pennywise the Dancing Clown from Stephen King’s, It. The world-famous novel and movie was recreated as a 2017 film and had a huge response! Georgie appeared in this version just as he did in the original movie. He still haunted his brother Bill Denbrough every day after his death and Bill wanted nothing more than to find his little brother again. Try to make an escape from Pennywise with this Georgie Denbrough costume guide.

Walk around and creep everyone out cosplaying Georgie by dressing in a Turtleneck Thermal Sweater, a Men’s Fleece Sweatshirt, and a pair of Men’s Regular Fit Jeans. Throw on a pair of Dunlop Dee Rainboots, and a yellow Men’s Rain Jacket. A Georgie costume wouldn’t be complete without a Red Balloon and an Origami sailboat.

Georgie Denbrough Cosplay Costumes

Georgie Denbrough has a memorable costume because his character in the 1990 and 2017 adaptation of It is so unforgettable. In the movies, he wears a turtleneck shirt underneath a gray sweatshirt along with a pair of regular jeans. All of which you probably have in your own closet! Borrow a pair of rain boots and purchse the iconic yellow rain jacket. After you dress up bring along a red balloon and a paper sail boat.

Get some of your friends you can chase around and dress them up as the members of “The Losers Club”—Bill Denbrough, Beverly Marsh, Richie Tozier, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Stan Uris. Don’t forget about Pennywise! He would be a creepy character to top off the group costume!

About Georgie Denbrough

“Come with me and you’ll float, too.” That’s what Pennywise told his older brother, Bill, when he came across his dead younger brother. Georgie was one of the many children in Derry that went missing and were killed by Pennywise the Dancing Clown in Stephen King’s novel, It. Poor Georgie didn’t understand that Pennywise was luring him away with a balloon to add to the collection of children he has murdered.

Georgie’s older brother Bill Denbrough was torn up about losing his younger brother, and even years after losing him, he thought he could still find him! When the clown started haunting Bill night and day, Georgie began appearing in those nightmares. He would haunt Bill and make him think that he was still alive. Pennywise used Georgie to take Bill’s worse imaginable nightmare and make it a reality.
