About General Leia Organa
Leia Organa played an important role in saving the galaxy from falling into the hands of the dark side. Of course, as the daughter of the Chosen One, Leia possessed a strong sense of the Force along with her twin brother, Luke Skywalker. Unlike Luke, however, Leia didn’t finish her training in becoming a Jedi Knight and, instead, used the Force to guide her decisions and sense her brother’s presence. In her final moments, Leia used the last of her strength to use the Force and call out to her son, Ben Solo. This final act helped redeem her son and bring him back from the dark side.
Played by Carrie Fisher, Leia Organa first appeared in the Star Wars franchise in 1977 at the age of 19. Thirty years later, Carrie Fisher appeared again as General Leia in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Unfortunately, Fisher tragically died in 2016 after filming for the movie.
