About Fred Jones

Freddie happens to be the leader of the Mystery Inc. gang and usually the driver of the Mystery Machine. Fred is the one who usually splits up the gang and more often than not, sends Shaggy and Scooby on their own where they end up setting off Fred’s complicated traps he has created for the villans.

While Fred usually shows off a cool and stoic demeanor, he does have a bit of cowardice that he tries to hide. It usually shows through whenever he has the rare occasions to explore by himself in a place that could be haunted. He’s also a bit less intelligent and a lot more scatterbrained than he may actually let on. As a child, Fred wasn’t the leader he is now and was actually a hyperactive and superstitious kid that got picked on quite regularly by the neighborhood bully who went by the name, Red Herring.
