In yet another Star Wars franchise movie, Finn is a welcome addition to the cast of Star Wars characters. While this cosplay is simple in the wardrobe department, you almost need to stick closely to our guidelines so that you’re easily recognized for who you’re cosplaying. The all black outfit is easy enough to pull off and luckily with the movies out in theaters and more to follow, a toy storm trooper weapon has never been easier to find!
What sticks out most about Finn is his jacket, which fans will know isn’t really his at all! A brown leather jacket or even one of cloth with red details sewn onto it will complete his signature look. Finn would be lost without his new found friend Rey if you have a partner in cosplay. Most awesome of all is the appearance of Han Solo in this film and of course Chewbacca. If you want to represent a couple of generations through cosplay, those characters would fit the bill. About Finn (FN-2187)
A newcomer to the Star Wars franchise, FN-2187, dubbed “Finn” by Resistance pilot Poe, is an otherwise nameless storm trooper who refuses to take the lives of the innocent. Growing up and being indoctrinated by the First Order before facing a command he could not in good conscience obey; Finn had spent his entire life blindly following orders. There was an awakening and Finn may not have known what he wanted to be but he knew who he didn’t want to become.
Resolving to rebel against all he had known and making the decision to take off into the unknown, brought Finn to places he never thought he would be. Making Poe a part of his escape plan set off a chain of events that brought him to his real destiny, helping Rey and BB-8 find the legendary Luke Skywalker, while finding himself traveling on the Millennium Falcon with none other than Han Solo and Chewbacca! As always the Star Wars movies give us characters to care about and to honor in cosplay!
