About Ferris Bueller
Ferris Bueller, portrayed by Matthew Broderick, will go to just about any lengths to have a fun-filled day off from school in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The plan that he constructs to ensure he gets a day off is a bit complicated. After convincing his friend Cameron Frye to borrow his father’s prized Ferrari, Ferris, his girlfriend Sloane Peterson, and Cameron head to downtown Chicago to take in what the city has to offer.
To make sure Ferris stays one step ahead of his sister, Jeanie, and Principal Rooney, Ferris has a ton of tricks up his sleeve to enjoy his day in the city. The fun runs out when Ferris and Cameron realize the Ferrari has too many miles. After a failed attempt to reverse the miles on the vehicle, the Ferrari is driven off into a ravine destroying the car. Ferris makes it home just in time to avoid Rooney. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a success as Rooney is picked up in humiliation by the school bus.
