About Deadshot

Customarily known as the archenemy of Batman in the comics, Deadshot has a sad backstory. Born with the name Floyd Lawton, he was raised by wealthy parents who were the most powerful couple in his town. The money did not make his home life happy. Deadshot was not a beloved child. That honor was reserved for his brother Eddie. Despite the difference in their treatment by others, Deadshot idolized his brother and would often stick up for him during any disputes with the town’s other children.

Though he never felt as though his mother cared for him, Deadshot was protective of her. Married to his abusive father, it was Deadshot’s decision to shoot him to end the abuse, that ended in tragedy. When his shot missed and he accidentally killed his beloved brother Eddie, Deadshot made it his life’s work to “never miss” again. Leaving behind his top hat and tails, Deadshot now only dons his trademark outfit and mask.
