How to Dress Like Date Mike

Best Date Mike Costume Guide
Date Mike is an alter ego used by Dunder Mifflin manager Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell in The Office.
As his name suggests, Date Mike is a persona adopted by Michael when going on a date, and as you can imagine is a pathetic, out of touch attempt at being cool. Totally repellent to women, Michael is completely unaware that this rowdy, self-absorbed character is not attractive to women at all. Who would have expected that, with cool catchphrases like “I’m Date Mike, nice to meet me”?
If you want to impress someone on your next date, at least with your sense of humor, you’ll need a Black 3-Button Suit, Blue Dress Shirt, Kangol Hat, Dress Shoes, and a Pool Cue.

While Date Mike is only a once-off character on The Office, he is popular among fans and paints a very clear picture of how clueless Steve Carell’s character Michael Scott really is.
But that doesn’t mean you have to be so out of touch with reality – heading out to your next party dressed as Date Mike is sure to raise plenty of laughs, especially if you practice his cheesy lines like “Nice to meet me,” and “How do you like your eggs in the morning?”
If you’re out looking for love though, this one might not be your best bet – although if you do have some success dressed as Date Mike, then your partner is sure to have a great sense of humor!
About Date Mike
Date Mike is a persona adopted by Steve Carell’s character in The Office, Michael Scott. He is introduced to us in one episode only, but it is a memorable one which sees Pam and Jim setting him up on a date without his knowledge. When he realizes what is happening, he transforms himself into an alter-ego he refers to as Date Mike.
He introduces himself as Date Mike, uses cheesy one-liners like “Nice to meet me,” and “How do you like your eggs in the morning,” and draws on watching reality TV stars to influence his behavior. Date Mike is another example of Michael being completely clueless when it comes to women, thinking the more he tries to be cool and impress women, the more they will like him. The opposite is true, and he is completely oblivious to the fact that women can’t stand Date Mike.
The line is finally drawn when Date Mike ends up dancing badly on a pool table and is asked to leave by the bar manager. Alone.
