Best Count Dooku Costume Guide

Count Dooku is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe who was portrayed by legendary actor Christopher Lee in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Count Dooku used to be a Jedi Master, and was even trained by the great Yoda, however after the death of Dooku’s former Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn, he turned to the Dark Side of the Force.

Serving under Darth Sidious, Dooku is given the name Darth Tyranus and becomes the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, where he plays a big part in the Clone Wars. If you’re looking to cross over to the dark side as Count Dooku, you’ll need a Black Turtleneck, Black Pants, Black Shiny Boots, Brown Belt, your very own Count Dooku Lightsaber, Grey Hair Wig, and a Count Dooku Cape.

About Count Dooku

Count Dooku was born into a wealthy family but gave it all up to join the Jedi Order, where he became Yoda’s Padawan. Once he had obtained the rank of Jedi Master, he took on his own Padawan – Qui-Gon Jinn, whose death, later on, would push Dooku further away from the Jedi Order. He retreated to his family home, taking on their fortune and eventually was tempted to the Dark Side of the Force by Darth Sidious.  Believing the Galactic Republic to be corrupt, he relished the chance to train under Darth Sidious and one day destroy the Jedi Order and the Republic.

When fully trained, he was given the name Darth Tyranus and became the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He was instrumental in laying the groundwork for what would ultimately become the Clone Wars. A vindictive, violent man, Dooku used his power to get what he wanted, but was eventually killed by Anakin Skywalker at the urging of Senator Palpatine. Dooku’s death was a catalyst for Anakin’s own move to the Dark Side.
