Best Captain Marvel Halloween Costume Guide
Captain Marvel has been around in Marvel comics for a while now, but in 2019 she will become the subject of the first female-led film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain Marvel and her alter-ego Carol Danvers will be played by actor Brie Larson. Danvers is a former Air Force fighter pilot who is involved in an accident which sees her DNA fused with that of a Kree (a scientifically advanced group of alien fighters).
Now possessing superhuman strength, flight, and ability to project energy, Carol Danvers becomes Captain Marvel. The unemotional, aggressive Kree fighter from military unit Starforce is also controlled by her human side, and she feels a responsibility to use her powers for the good of saving Earth. About Captain Marvel
In the 2019 film named after her, Captain Marvel is played by actor Brie Larson. While there are slightly different origins throughout the characters comic book appearance, Larson’s portrayal is that of Carol Danvers, a former fighter pilot who accidentally has her DNA fused with that of a Kree, an advanced alien race of prolific warriors. Unable to remain entirely human, she uses her new powers to join a Kree military team called Starforce, becoming one of the galaxy’s mightiest warriors.
When she returns to Earth, she finds her home planet embroiled in a war between two alien worlds. Captain Marvel must harness her human side – the part of her that wants to do good, and pair it with her immense powers and aggression in order to work out who she wants to be, and hopefully save Earth in the process.
