Steven Universe has given cosplayers a ton of characters to dress like. Resident cool kid, Buck Dewey, is a great option for an upcoming convention. A few simple pieces from your closet or a friends closet should get you squared away. An oversized long-sleeve red dress shirt over a white screen printed t-shirt. Then, match it up with a pair of dark skinny jeans and you’re just about there!
Accessorize the costume with large framed sunglasses and cap off the look with a pair of high top sneakers just like Dewey. In the event you can’t find these clothing pieces at home, a quick trip to the local thrift shop should help get you squared away. For group cosplay, team up with a few characters from the show like Sour Cream, Steven Universe, Jenny or Lars. Check out the featured pics for more style ideas. We want your pics too! The son of Beach City’s mayor, Buck Dewey, is a laid back teenager who enjoys nothing more than hanging out with his friends. Though a bit cynical, he does keep an open mind and appreciates the different points of view of others. Like any typical teenager, he is often annoyed with his father for trying to control his behavior. He finds it embarrassing when he tries to act “cool.”
While he finds his position as the mayor’s son irksome at times, he is not above using it to his advantage. He has a counterpart in Steven Universe, who is far less cynical and whom Buck likes and respects. Sometimes his cynicism results in hurt feelings, but Buck is always willing to make amends and look at the other person’s point of view, even if he doesn’t agree with it.
