About Buck Dewey
The son of Beach City’s mayor, Buck Dewey, is a laid back teenager who enjoys nothing more than hanging out with his friends. Though a bit cynical, he does keep an open mind and appreciates the different points of view of others. Like any typical teenager, he is often annoyed with his father for trying to control his behavior. He finds it embarrassing when he tries to act “cool.”
While he finds his position as the mayor’s son irksome at times, he is not above using it to his advantage. He has a counterpart in Steven Universe, who is far less cynical and whom Buck likes and respects. Sometimes his cynicism results in hurt feelings, but Buck is always willing to make amends and look at the other person’s point of view, even if he doesn’t agree with it.
