Alex Vance is one of the most influential secondary characters from the video game Half-Life 2. While most secondary characters have a short appearance, Alyx is known for showing up early in the game and reappearing quite frequently. Alyx shows up to aid Gordon and protect him from the Civil Protection units. Once she gets him out of harm’s way, Alyx helps Gordon get the the teleportation device and then leaves him to travel on his own.

Alex repeatedly comes back into Gordon’s life to help him on his missions and to protect him form danger. Alyx also makes an appearance in the Episodes and has quickly become the fan’s favorite secondary character on the video game.
