Choose the Character Before the Makeup
Liv Moore’s white hair and pale complexion suit a more human-looking zombie. Flyboy’s torn, stained shirt and vacant expression lean into classic horror. Chicken Jockey is a comic game-and-film costume: the chicken shape and blue-shirted rider matter more than realistic wounds.
Let the Clothes Tell the Story
Use each guide’s outfit as the anchor. Keep Liv’s recognizable hair visible, match Flyboy’s shirt and trousers, or build Chicken Jockey around the wearable chicken. Add the makeup after the clothing is settled so the effects support the character.
You can make a zombie costume blood-free. A tired expression, disheveled hair and muted cosmetic shadows can carry the idea. Follow the makeup label for placement and removal, and keep wet effects off clothing you want to reuse.
Zombie Costume FAQs
Which zombie costume is easiest to put together?
Start with the clothes you already own. Flyboy uses familiar shirt-and-trouser pieces, while Liv relies more on her white hair and pale styling. Chicken Jockey needs the larger chicken costume to deliver the joke.
Do zombie costumes need fake blood?
No. Hair, clothing and expression can establish the character without blood. Follow your chosen guide and keep any makeup effects optional.
Are zombie survivors included here?
No. Characters such as Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon are survivors in their represented outfits. This archive is for guides that actually portray a zombie.
Is Jason Voorhees a zombie? What about Freddy Krueger?
Jason is resurrected in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, beginning his zombie era. His Part 2 and Part 3 appearances are still living. Freddy Krueger is a supernatural dream killer, not a zombie, so his guide is not tagged here.

Find the Zombie You Want to Play
Choose the outfit and personality together. A movie-horror look, a nearly ordinary TV character and a comic Minecraft rider need different pieces, but each works best when one clear idea leads the costume.
